Fun with ICT

Children in heaven.
The integration of ICT has built a heaven for children to learn and explore. The smile and the reaction during the last period energize my energy to teach and interact more. The zeal has been ignited. Motivation has been aroused in the life of a teacher. They learn more by doing it by themselves. The task of the teacher has been reduced. A teacher becomes the guide and the supporter when ICT steps into our lesson. They do it without thinking and learn without realizing how and when. I get carried away while carrying out coding classes with 2nd-grade children. They have more to offer than what I wanted. I have learned a lesson being with them and reflecting back on those days, where ICT was just a tool in a well-set-up office.

The weblinks are followed by questions where children need to take notes while watching those movies or reading materials. At times they need to browse and visit different websites to make comparisons. Internet is a must to teach children to explore. ICT has changed the face and the mood of our children in the class.   Schools use a diverse set of ICT tools to communicate, create, disseminate, store, and manage information. In some contexts, ICT has also become integral to the teaching-learning interaction, through such approaches as replacing chalkboards with interactive digital whiteboards, using students’ own smartphones or other devices for learning during class time, and the “flipped classroom” model where students watch lectures at home on the computer and use classroom time for more interactive exercises. When teachers are digitally literate and trained to use ICT, these approaches can lead to higher order thinking skills, provide creative and individualized options for students to express their understandings, and leave students better prepared to deal with ongoing technological change in society and the workplace.
